March 15, 2016It’s early to mid-August and while the calendar points toward cooler weather on the horizon, it still seems like there’s a lot of summer left. However, every year I’m rather shocked at how quickly these last few “growing season” months and weeks pass. It seems like there’s more than enough time to plan and execute those fall landscape projects that have been on the radar; however, my advice is to get rolling now! These last few weeks of August will fly by and cooler weather WILL be upon us sooner than you think.
Most projects that involve any sort of planting are best done in the mid-Sept to late October time frame. Since it takes time to plan, schedule and execute, the sooner you get the fall plans rolling the better. In the meantime, enjoy the garden delights of this bountiful late summer season – such as these highlights from my gardens.
